ELARA'S POV.
It wasn't enough, I wasn't enough.
I hoped I had gotten through to him, I hoped he would see my intentions through his special powers and accept me, but I was met with a thickening silence. With no other options than to stay and stare at him, I chose to leave.
He needed time alone. Besides, the guards were already getting worried about my safety. If I chose to stay any longer, they were going to send him to his knees with a dangerous volt of electricity.
I bowed my head slightly as I turned to leave, deliberately walking away with a slow pace hoping he would reach for me, he would call me back.
The disappointment covered my face like a veil as I walked out without a single whisper from him. I glanced at the guard at my left hand side, he clutched his hand in his baton and looked straight ahead.
"Are you hurt, ma'am," the guard at the right voiced, peering his head closer to examine my body. I slapped his hand away and heaved out loud.
