Elara's POV
The sun came up way too fast. I stared at the bedroom window as the light started to creep through the glass. The dark sky slowly turned into a dull gray. Morning drew faster than I had wanted. I did not want this new day to start at all.
I wished with all my heart that the night would just stay forever. I wanted to stay safe under my warm blankets. But the sun does not care about my wishes. It kept rising and rising.
It shone its bright light into my bedroom. It was telling me that it was time to face the real world. I lay there in my bed, completely frozen. I could not bring myself to move even a single inch. My heart was beating so hard against my ribs. My hands were cold and shaking. The main reason I was so scared was Kael. I refuses to go to work today.
