The Lord of Krell was a fat man with a great bulging belly.
Upon hearing that the Mercenary Commander had completed the mission, he hurried over at once to welcome him.
The city lord's eyes narrowed into slits with delight. "Congratulations on your triumphant return, gentlemen. As for Snelow City…"
The Mercenary Commander waved a hand. "Eh, now's not the time to talk about that."
Hearing this, the city lord froze for a moment, then quickly caught on and nodded repeatedly. "Yes, yes, of course. Too many eyes and ears here."
With that, he invited the Mercenary Commander into his private chamber.
The room was soundproofed.
Even if they spoke loudly, no outsider would hear a thing.
Once the two sat down, the city lord could no longer hold back his impatience and asked, "That Snelow City of the Eaglecrest Empire—has it truly fallen?"
The Mercenary Commander nodded slightly. "Taken. And it did not take much effort either.
"That Snelow City was nothing special."
