Xuan BaiShe stood there, his Sage monocle shining under the harsh light of the Deserted Lands. He displayed no trace of fatigue, his black clothes were impeccable. With the tip of his index finger, charged with a tiny fraction of his stabilized Frost Qi, he blocked the spear tip.
The weapon, although thrown by a Law Master, crackled and trembled against his finger, unable to advance a single millimeter further.
"BaiShe... you had asked people to follow me ?" she stammered, out of breath, her heart pounding no longer from fear, but because of the disturbing proximity of this man she was supposed to hate.
She sniffed, fighting against the tears of relief and mixed anger that threatened to overflow. The warmth of his body against hers completely destabilized her.
"BaiShe ! What are you doing here !?" she finally exclaimed, trying to free herself from his embrace while remaining prisoner of the quiet strength of his arm.
