Chapter 27 - She is getting attached... Peace to her soul

BaiShe withdrew slowly with a wet sucking sound. A mixture of his white sperm and Xia Fei's juices began to flow down the woman's thighs, staining the immaculate sheets. He sat on the edge of the bed, observing his prey with absolute coldness.

"Rest, Master… Our session was… very instructive," he murmured.

Xia Fei replied only with a weak moan, her fingers still trembling on the fabric. She was now bound to him, not only by blood and pleasure, but by an energetic dependence she could never break.

...

The silence that followed the act was not heavy, but charged with that appeasement that only occurs after a fusion of bodies and souls. Xia Fei was lying on the sheets, her jade skin still glistening with sweat and semen, her long blue hair spread around her like a stormy sea that had become calm. Her sapphire eyes, usually so serene, were veiled by a mist of distant thoughts.

While Xuan BaiShe's breath still caressed her shoulder, she let herself slip into her memories.

She had not been born into wealth, despite her belonging to the immortal Xia family. Her mother was only a humble servant, an ephemeral existence in the eyes of the main lineage. For this reason, the current patriarch of the Xia family, her own elder brother, had never looked at her with affection.

For him, she was a stain on the family crest, a constant reminder of a paternal weakness he would have preferred to forget. From a very young age, Xia Fei had done everything to prove her worth. She had thrown herself into cultivation, hoping that a spark of genius could finally buy her brother's gaze.

But nothing worked. Every breakthrough that demonstrated her talent was met with contempt or, worse still, with indifference. She was perpetually underestimated, relegated to secondary roles. Yet talent did not lie.

At only sixty years old, a derisory age for a cultivator, she had already reached the first stage of Divine Cultivation. More than five centuries later, she had risen to the rank of Supreme Deity, a summit that most beings did not even dare to dream of reaching.

At this level of power, the world changed. Other cultivators no longer saw her as a woman, but as a superior existence, an untouchable goddess better feared than courted.

This solitude at the top had changed her. Behind her extroverted mask, Xia Fei had remained that shy little girl, haunted by the trauma of the intimidation inflicted by her elder brother.

It was to fill this void, to find some form of consolation, that she had adopted Lin Feng during one of her visits to the lower realms.

She saw in him a reflection of her own struggle, a raw talent born from nothing. She had loved him like a son, offering him everything she had never had. But Lin Feng, through his supposed actions as the Devourer, had plunged her once again into ignominy. Her brother had reprimanded her with renewed violence, calling her incapable for having raised a monster.

Then there was BaiShe...

She turned her head slightly to observe the young man beside her. He was so different. Despite his status as young master of the Xuan family, he possessed a refined and authentic aura so different from the frivolity of his friend Hu Tian.

BaiShe did not need her political support, nor her resources; he was already one of the most powerful and respected beings of his generation. In him, she did not see an opportunist, but a calm scholar who seemed to understand her without her having to speak. She then thought that the only reason he was there with her could only be...

At the very moment this thought brushed her, she felt BaiShe's lips press against her ear. The contact made her entire being shiver.

"I have the impression that I have fallen for you... Your beauty, your grace and especially... I had not planned this turnaround at all, Master Xia," he murmured in a low voice, imbued with sincerity.

Xia Fei felt her heart skip a beat. She tried to straighten up, but BaiShe placed a delicate hand on her hip, encouraging her to stay.

"I must confess something to you, Master," he continued, his silver eyes fixed on hers.

"Originally, I wanted to use your disciple to prevent Ling'er from becoming the sect's heir... It was a strategy, a way to protect my own interests and those of my family."

Xia Fei frowned, a glimmer of confusion.

" And so... That's why you had approached me. "

BaiShe let out a sigh that seemed to come from the depths of his soul, an admission of weakness that a man like him never made.

"Yes. But it seems I made a monumental miscalculation... I had not planned this sudden love for you. I think this is one of the stupidest reasonings this young scholar could make. Falling in love with the person he was supposed to manipulate... But despite everything... I accept this defeat... "

The silence fell back on the room.

Xia Fei remained motionless, digesting these words. For anyone else, such a confession might have seemed cynical, but for her, it was the ultimate proof of his sincerity.

He was telling her the truth, even the darkest part. She felt she existed, not as a Supreme Deity, but as a woman capable of upsetting the plans of a genius.

She raised her hand and took BaiShe's face between her palms, looking at him fixedly.

"I will not say that it is reciprocal, young master, but..." She interrupted herself, before collapsing against his chest, listening to the regular beats of his heart.

"I too think that I am getting too attached to you. I do not know if such a relationship between an Elder and a disciple would be well received by others... But I feel that with you, I do not care about the opinions of others. For the first time in my life, the opinion of my brother or of the sect seems... derisory."

BaiShe smiled slightly. He caressed her blue hair, inhaling the floral perfume that emanated from her skin. The system was right: corrupting heroines and authority figures was much more effective than any battle.

He leaned toward her, capturing her lips in a passionate kiss.

"Elder... I love you..." he murmured against her mouth.

Xia Fei closed her eyes, letting herself be invaded by a warmth she had never known. She finally felt seen, finally cherished.

' Elder Xia you get attached too easily~~, Peace to your soul~. '
