The Talisman Stone hovered silently in a hollow at the very peak of the mountain. It was hard to say what Magic had been trying to accomplish, having stayed in the mountains for so long without retrieving the Talisman Stone.
Renee Kane stored the Talisman Stone in her dimensional space. Just as she was about to leave, the pirates—who looked so unsteady they could barely take two steps—unexpectedly gave up on tangling with the unkillable corpses and turned to surround her instead.
Renee Kane wasn't particularly concerned. 'Let them try.' After hacking away at corpses for so long without even turning red, these pirates weren't even worth her time. It felt like a strong gust of wind could scatter them.
She pulled out the dagger she had obtained earlier. There was no telling what the poison on it was made of. The liquid extracted from it by stabbing the islanders had been incredibly potent, and the dagger's eerie blue glow hadn't faded in the slightest.
