Every plant grown from a Magic Seed is unique.
So, even though Zachary Pierce and his group were also surviving on the fringes of the sea, he still took out a Magic Seed and planted it at the edge of The Thunderhead. However, the plant that grew was vastly different from Faye Yardley's Thunder Tree.
It was a glowing, blue-and-white tree with only branches and not a single leaf, yet it bloomed with large white flowers that flashed with electric arcs.
So when Faye Yardley returned to the raft and received the large white flower Zachary Pierce had sent, she was a little stunned.

The flower was huge, about the size of Faye Yardley's two palms put together, and she had no idea how she was supposed to wear it.
'On my head? It would be all anyone could see.'
'On my chest?'
