Chapter 39 Zhu Zhuqing Forced to Make a Choice
"I'm already dead?
" "You are..."
Zhu Zhuyun frowned, looking at the fair-skinned girl in front of her, not understanding why she immediately claimed to be dead.
Ning Rongrong, unable to free her hands while holding Xiao Wu, gestured with her chin to the kitten in Zhu Zhuyun's arms: "It was Zhuoqing who told me. She said she has no family left in this world."
Zhu Zhuyun looked down at her sister and instantly understood everything. She burst out laughing.
"Hehehe~ So that's how it is. Zhuqing even made up such a tragic backstory for herself?"
Zhu Zhuyun laughed so hard her chest heaved. Whether it was because her voice was too loud or something else, Zhu Zhuqing woke up amidst her laughter.
As soon as Zhu Zhuqing opened her eyes, she saw Zhu Zhuyun's face in front of her. The kitten's face lit up with joy, and it instantly wrapped tightly around Zhu Zhuyun's neck.
"Sister!"
Feeling her younger sister trembling, Zhu Zhuyun gently patted her back to comfort her, "It's alright, Zhuqing, sister's here."
"Mmm!" The kitten, having left Zhu Zhuyun's embrace, was about to ask how she ended up there when a slightly familiar voice reached her ears.
"Oh~ Kitty's awake? I heard you were telling people your sister died? Is that true? Zhuo~Qing?"
Zhu Zhuqing's face paled instantly. When she slowly turned her head, she saw Hu Liena staring at her with a teasing gaze.
"It's you!"
Zhu Zhuqing suddenly collapsed to the ground, her feet digging into the earth to get as far away from Hu Liena as possible. She would probably never be able to escape the shadow of Hu Liena's smiling face as she casually snapped her arm.
As she retreated, she suddenly bumped into a leg from behind. Zhu Zhuqing instinctively looked up and met Mu Changge's gaze, who was crossing his arms!
"Ahhh!!!"
If Hu Liena, who broke Zhu Zhuqing's arm, was a shadow she couldn't escape,
then Mu Changge was an indelible nightmare. The little cat still clearly remembered how brutally Mu Changge had treated Zhu Zhuyun. Before she left, her sister's ravaged body was still vivid in her mind.
So, Zhu Zhuqing went berserk, immediately channeling her martial soul and fleeing towards the Shrek Academy gate.
Zhu Zhuyun was shocked, because she clearly remembered the hellish, soul-crushing pain of being punished with blood. She didn't want Zhu Zhuqing to experience it again.
More importantly, if Zhu Zhuqing angered Mu Changge, her fate would be even worse than when she was nearly beaten to death...
Fortunately, Hu Liena, who was prepared, used her tail to entangle Zhu Zhuqing's feet, causing her to fall to the ground and preventing her from escaping far.
"Thank you!"
Zhu Zhuqing rarely expressed her sincere gratitude to Hu Liena.
Hu Liena nodded casually, then frowned.
Zhu Zhuqing was still trying to escape, even when hung upside down, she was still struggling.
"Let me go! I don't want to stay with that demon!"
Hu Liena's frown deepened, and she slammed Zhu Zhuqing to the ground like a meteor hammer.
This blow broke several of Zhu Zhuqing's bones, causing her to howl in pain.
"Give this little wildcat a good talking to, or I won't hesitate to discipline her myself!"
Hu Liena tossed the kitten in front of Zhu Zhuyun, her eyes flashing, her tone icy.
Zhu Zhuyun nodded solemnly and helped Zhu Zhuqing up, but the other girl grabbed her hand and pleaded, "Sister! Please help me one more time, okay? I really don't want to be tortured like that devil." "Shut up!"
These words seemed to be squeezed out from between Zhu Zhuyun's teeth, as if she was suppressing her anger.
"Sister, I beg you..."
"I told you to shut up!"
Seeing that Zhu Zhuqing still wanted to say something, Zhu Zhuyun finally couldn't hold back and slapped her hard across the face.
This was no small matter; Zhu Zhuqing's face swelled up instantly, and even the corner of her mouth was stained with blood.
"Sister..."
But it wasn't over yet. In the moment of Zhu Zhuqing's dazed state, Zhu Zhuyun grabbed her by the neck and lifted her high, shouting loudly,
"Do you think you still have a choice? From the moment we found you again, your fate was already sealed!"
Before coming to Shrek Academy, Zhu Zhuyun had deliberately sounded out Mu Changge, asking Zhu Zhuqing what to do if she kept trying to escape.
She would never forget Mu Changge's words: If that little wildcat keeps running away, cut off all four of her legs, let her crawl on the ground like a worm, and live forever in pain and regret.
Zhu Zhuyun couldn't even imagine how desperate Zhu Zhuqing would be if things really came to that.
Therefore, she was determined to force Zhu Zhuqing to completely submit to Mu Changge to avoid that situation, right here! Now! If she couldn't do it, she would just kill her to save Zhu Zhuqing from suffering!
For the first time, Zhu Zhuyun truly felt murderous intent towards her sister, and at the same time, the fingers gripping Zhu Zhuqing's neck tightened.
"Will you, like me, offer everything to your master, or end your life like this? The choice is yours!"
Zhu Zhuyun knew it would be difficult to persuade Zhu Zhuqing to become Mu Changge's pet, and that would take too much time.
So, she immediately placed Zhu Zhuqing's life on the scales, hoping she would choose to submit under the fear of death. Anyway, whatever she chose was better than living like a maggot.
If Mu Changge punished her for acting on her own initiative, she would accept it!
Zhu Zhuqing's face had turned red from lack of oxygen, and her tongue was sticking out long.
"I...I want...to live..."
After managing to utter these words, the kitten fainted. Zhu Zhuyun breathed a sigh of relief and quickly released her, placing her on the ground.
At least she had won the gamble; Zhu Zhuqing wouldn't die, and she herself would escape punishment.
Mu Changge merely glanced at this and then paid no further attention.
However, this series of events greatly shocked the naive Ning Rongrong.
That "Zhuoqing" was probably just a pseudonym; her real name was Zhuqing, which wasn't a problem.
She could even somewhat understand her deceased sister appearing here alive and well.
But Zhuqing, were you sure your sister truly loved you?
Having several broken bones, not only did your sister not avenge you, but she even thanked the person who injured you?
She even personally forced you to choose between submitting to a man and death?
Ning Rongrong seriously doubted Zhu Zhuqing—no! It was as if all of them had something wrong with their heads!
Thanks to the Corpse Tide and Meng Ziqing for the donations!
