Clyden (POV)
"When are you going to leave?" Jay asked.
"Maybe tomorrow morning," I said.
But I already knew the truth.
I wouldn't be there when she woke up.
Tomorrow… I'd be gone.
"Why so early?" she frowned. "You can stay one more day."
Then she leaned closer, her voice dropping to a whisper near my ear.
"I'm scared if you're not beside me… I know they're my brothers… but they all look like they're going to kill you."
I looked up.
She wasn't wrong.
Every single one of them was staring at me like I didn't deserve to breathe the same air as them.
And honestly?
I understood.
They were her real family.
And I—
I was just someone who took the chance to stay by her side.
I reached out and gently patted her head.
"You'll be fine," I said lightly. "They're just jealous of me."
She pouted immediately.
"Jealous? Of you?"
I smirked a little.
"Of course."
She narrowed her eyes, clearly unconvinced.
Then suddenly—
"How about a party before you leave?" she said, clapping her hands softly, her eyes lighting up. "We can celebrate!"
I paused for a second.
A party…
Maybe this was a chance.
A chance for her to get closer to them again.
To remember.
Even just a little.
I glanced at the others before nodding.
"…Okay."
Her face brightened instantly.
"Stay here," I added, standing up. "I'll arrange everything."
But before I walked away—
I looked at her brothers.
A silent message.
Take care of her.
Percy (POV)
She was standing too close to him.
Too comfortable.
Too natural.
Like they had known each other for years.
And we—
We were just strangers.
None of us said anything at first.
Because we didn't know how to.
What do you say to someone who forgot you?
What do you say to your sister… when she doesn't even remember your name?
We failed her.
That thought wouldn't leave my head.
We couldn't protect her.
And now—
We didn't even know how to talk to her.
Cole and Angelo were talking to Clyden.
Jare and Aries were inside the room.
And me?
I was standing here…
Trying to figure out how to talk to my own sister.
I took a breath and stepped forward.
"Jay… can we talk for a second?" I asked.
She hesitated.
Just for a moment.
Then nodded.
That small nod—
Felt like hope.
I sat down beside her, careful not to get too close.
"I'm your stepbrother," I said softly. "Percy."
I reached out and gently held her hand.
For a second—
I was scared she would pull away.
But she didn't.
She just looked at our hands.
Then back at me.
And didn't move.
Relief hit me so suddenly I almost laughed.
I smiled.
"…I know I'm very handsome," I added lightly, trying to ease the tension. "Hard to forget a face like this."
She let out a small laugh.
"You're so full of yourself," she said, shaking her head. "But… you're funny."
That one line—
It felt like something warm settled in my chest.
For a moment, it almost felt normal.
Then her expression shifted.
She looked at me more seriously now, her voice softer.
"What do you know about me?" she asked. "I want to know… where I grew up… how I left…"
Her words trailed off as she looked up at me.
Waiting.
Hoping.
And just like that—
I didn't know what to say.
My chest tightened.
I glanced up instinctively—
Toward Jare.
Toward Aries.
Like maybe one of them would save me from this.
Because how do you tell someone—
That their past was something they survived… not something they lived?
Before I could answer—
Cole walked in.
"You grew up surrounded by love," he said calmly, stepping closer.
He gently tapped my head as he passed, like he was telling me to stay quiet.
"You were loud. Stubborn. Full of energy," he continued, looking at her. "You had too many friends to count."
Jay blinked, listening carefully.
Cole smiled faintly.
"You lived a good life."
He glanced at us for a second—
A silent message.
And we understood.
Some truths don't heal.
They break.
And if she chose to forget…
Then maybe—
We should let her.
Not out of lies.
But out of mercy.
We would build something new for her.
A place where she could smile again.
A place where her memories—
Would finally be kind.
I looked back at her and smiled softly.
"Yeah," I said. "You were kind of a celebrity, you know."
She frowned slightly.
"Really?"
"Yeah," I added, leaning back casually. "Annoying… but popular."
"Hey—!" she protested immediately.
And just like that—
The heaviness lifted.
Just a little.
But enough.
Kiefer (POV)
"Kiefer… what is going on here?" Kit asked, his voice tight.
"Why can't we see Jay?" C-IN added, frustration clear.
Felix stepped forward. "We've been searching everywhere. How can you stop us? We're her friends."
I swallowed.
For a moment, I couldn't even look at them.
"She doesn't remember anything," I said quietly. "Not me. Not us. Not Section E. Nothing."
Silence.
Heavy.
Suffocating.
"The doctor said… if we push her too hard, if we trigger her memories suddenly…" I paused, my jaw tightening. "It could break her."
I finally looked up.
"If she sees us, she might remember everything… including the plan… and how I broke her heart."
No one spoke.
"Then tell her the truth," Edrix said immediately. "Tell her it was all a lie. That you did it to protect her."
I let out a bitter laugh.
"You think I haven't thought of that?" I asked. "Do you think I wouldn't do anything to get her back?"
My voice dropped.
"I'm scared."
That word alone made the room freeze.
"What if something happens to her?" I continued. "What if forcing her to remember puts her back in that state? Can you guarantee she'll be okay?"
No one answered.
"Do you want me to be selfish? " I asked, my voice sharper now. "To risk her life… just so she remembers me?"
Silence fell again.
This time—
Heavier.
"You're saying…" C-IN's voice broke. "That I lost my ate?"
I looked at him.
"She's the only one who makes me feel like I belong somewhere… like I actually have a family," C-IN continued, his eyes filling. "And I can't even spend time with her?"
His voice cracked completely.
"Why did you do that, Kiefer?" C-IN whispered. "I couldn't even smile with her again…"
David quietly placed a hand on his shoulder.
The room fell apart.
Not loudly.
But deeply.
They weren't just losing a friend.
They were losing someone who understood them.
Who stayed with them?
Who made them feel like they belonged.
Sniffles filled the room.
No one tried to hide it.
Then—
"I can give you a chance to see her."
A voice cut through everything.
We all turned.
Clyden.
He walked in calmly, his gaze steady.
"But not as her classmates," he continued. "Not as her friends."
A pause.
"As strangers."
The room went still.
C-IN wiped his face quickly.
"…That's enough," he said quietly. "If we can just see her… that's enough."
He looked around.
One by one—
Everyone nodded.
Clyden glanced at me briefly.
Something unreadable passed between us.
"Then we'll have a party," he said.
Confusion spread across their faces.
"A party?" Angelo repeated.
"Yes," Clyden said simply. "It's easier that way."
Then he turned toward the kitchen.
"Let's start cooking. Her favorite dishes."
And just like that—
Everyone moved.
Maybe because they needed something to do.
Maybe because standing still hurt too much.
…
I walked toward him.
"I'll come with you," I said.
He glanced at me. "Why?"
"Because I'm still heir of the Watson family," I replied calmly. "And I have work to handle."
Then I added, more quietly—
"And I need your help."
He paused.
Then smiled faintly.
"You trust me enough to give me a position?"
"I don't trust you," I said honestly. "But I trust her."
He looked at me.
"If Jay chose you… Then that's enough for me."
For a second—
Something shifted between us.
"…Fine," he said. "But I don't do overtime."
I almost smiled.
"I want us to work like brothers," I said. "Not rivals."
He stopped chopping for a moment.
Then looked at me.
"You're demanding a lot," he said. "But I'll need a paycheck. My sister eats a lot."
A small laugh escaped me.
"I can afford it," I replied. "I'm feeding my wife, after all."
That made him glance at me again—
But this time, he didn't argue.
…
We talked.
Not about business.
Not about power.
Just—
About her.
And for the first time…
Clyden didn't feel like an enemy.
…
By evening, everything was ready.
Clyden handed us masks.
"So she won't recognize you," he said.
Everyone wore one.
Except her.
…
"Who are they? " Jay asked the moment she saw us.
"Friends," Clyden replied casually. "People I invited."
She tilted her head.
"Why are they all boys? Don't you have any friends who are girls, Kuya? And hey—why am I the only one without a mask?"
He smiled slightly.
"Because you're too pretty to hide your face."
She laughed softly.
And that sound—
It broke something inside the room.
Everyone was smiling.
But their eyes…
We're full of tears.
"Let's eat," Angelo said quickly, trying to keep things normal.
Jay looked at the table.
"…Why is everything my favorite?" she asked.
"It's my send-off," Clyden said, tapping her head lightly. "I wanted to spoil you before I go."
I clenched my jaw slightly.
She talked to him the most.
Laughed with him.
Looked at him like he was her whole world.
And when her eyes accidentally met mine—
I looked away.
I couldn't risk it.
Not yet.
Everything was going fine.
Until—
"Kuya," she said suddenly, clutching her pillow and stuffed toy."I want to sleep in your room tonight."
Everything stopped.
Spoons slipped from hands—clattering softly against plates.
No one moved.
No one breathed.
Then—
"NO."
Everyone said it at the same time.
Even me.
She blinked in confusion.
"Why?" she asked. "Isn't it normal for siblings to sleep together?"
Jare immediately stepped in.
"But… He's a boy," he said awkwardly.
She frowned.
"I don't care," she said softly. "I don't want to waste time."
The room went quiet.
"I want to talk to him all night," she added. "Before he leaves…"
And just like that—
No one knew what to say.
Clyden (POV)
"…Fine," I said after a moment. "We'll sleep together."
"Then we're joining too," Aries added immediately.
And just like that—
Everyone ended up in one room.
Jay lay beside me, while Aries, Percy, and Jare settled around us.
It felt crowded.
Messy.
But strangely… warm.
For the first time—
It didn't feel like tension.
It felt like something close to family.
…
Jay didn't stop talking.
She told them everything.
About the island.
The beach.
The ridiculous amount of food she ate.
The bath bombs that almost flooded the bathroom.
The sandcastles we built were like those of little kids.
"And if he doesn't come back…" she added, pointing at me, her tone suddenly serious, "I'll go all the way to London and drag him back myself."
Everyone chuckled softly.
But no one interrupted her.
Not once.
We just listened.
Like every word mattered.
Like we were trying to hold on to something we didn't want to lose again.
Slowly—
Her voice faded.
Her eyes closed.
And just like that—
She fell asleep.
Still close.
Still warm.
Still here.
One by one—
The others drifted off, too.
But I stayed awake.
I had already packed everything.
All that was left—
Was to leave.
I turned my head slightly.
Looked at her one last time.
I wanted to stay.
God, I wanted to stay.
But I couldn't.
Because the longer I stayed—
The harder it would be to walk away.
I stood up quietly and stepped out of the room.
The door clicked softly behind me.
And the moment I turned—
Kiefer was there.
"Not going to tell her you're leaving?" he asked.
I shook my head.
"No."
A pause.
"If she sees me… she'll cry."
I looked away.
"I'd rather remember her smiling."
Kiefer didn't say anything.
He just walked beside me.
Jay (POV)
Something felt… wrong.
I slowly opened my eyes.
It was quiet.
Too quiet.
I turned my head slightly.
The space beside me—
Empty.
Clyden was gone.
Aries, Jare, and Percy were still asleep.
Peaceful.
Unaware.
But me?
My chest felt tight.
…
"He left…" I whispered.
The words barely came out.
I sat up slowly, my eyes scanning the room.
Then—
I saw it.
A small box on the table.
Chocolates.
And a note.
My fingers trembled slightly as I picked it up.
I unfolded the paper.
And read—
Hey… my little hurricane,You really turned my life upside down. When you read this, don't cry.I'll be back.Until then—eat well, stay loud, stay stubborn, stay happy.I'm really going to miss you when I go to London. So don't forget your Kuya.
I didn't even realize when the tears started falling.
They dropped onto the paper—
Blurring the words.
"…Idiot Kuya," I whispered, my voice breaking.
"You remembered the chocolates… but you didn't know I'd cry just because I didn't get to see you before you left," I whispered.
I didn't like goodbyes.
I never did.
Even if I couldn't remember why.
I held the note tightly against my chest.
Something inside me hurt.
A lot.
And I didn't understand why.
After he left—
Everything felt different.
Empty.
Like something important had been taken away from me.
Like something I wasn't ready to lose.
I stood up slowly.
Still holding the chocolates.
Still holding the note.
My eyes drifted to the door.
To the place where he must have walked out.
"…He really left," I whispered again.
This time—
It felt real.
Too real.
My fingers tightened around the wrapper.
Why does it hurt this much?
I don't even know him that long…
Right?
I pressed my hand against my chest.
My heart was beating too fast.
Too heavy.
Like it was trying to hold onto something—
That was already gone.
