Phoebe Faulkner stood at the door, still a little nervous. The nearly see-through nightgown under her coat, in particular, made her feel insecure. She took a deep breath, and finally, with a defiant tilt of her head, she pushed the door open and walked in.
'It's not like this is the first time with him, anyway. What's there to be afraid of?'
Just as Phoebe Faulkner pushed the door open and went in, Jace Lennox was walking out of the bathroom.
Jace Lennox stared at Phoebe Faulkner, who was wearing a heavy, bulky padded coat, and thought something was wrong with her. "What are you doing?"
Phoebe Faulkner looked at Jace Lennox, took a deep breath, and ran straight toward him.
Reaching Jace Lennox, she threw her arms around him, grabbed his arm, and stood on her tiptoes to kiss him. But before she could, Jace Lennox grabbed her by the collar and lifted her off the ground.
"Are you insane?"
