President Lawson abruptly threw open the car door and got out, looking utterly exasperated. Before leaving, he tossed out a parting shot.
"Maybe you should ask what Holly Wyatt wants first."
SLAM!
The car door slammed shut, hiding Silas Thornton's grim expression from view.
President Lawson straightened his cuffs, looking utterly pleased with himself. A smile played on his lips as he strode away.
"Let's go," Silas Thornton said in a low voice, thoughtfully touching the hidden cord on his wrist as he watched the direction President Lawson had gone.

Silas Thornton's brow furrowed as he spotted the furtive figure that had appeared downstairs.
"Hugh Wyatt!" Silas Thornton's voice deepened, his expression stern. "Shouldn't you be in class? What are you doing here?"
Hugh Wyatt was a sophomore in high school. He should have been studying for finals, not be here.
