Silas Thornton flicked his hand, completely ignoring Lynn Fletcher, and charged directly for the rooftop door.
Lynn Fletcher felt the pressure on her neck vanish, and she could finally breathe again.
Her body went limp and she collapsed to the ground, clutching her chest and coughing nonstop.
By the rooftop door, Finn Shepherd was waiting for his assistant to bring up tools to break it down, when suddenly, the door was yanked open.
A gust of wind blew past him. He didn't see a thing, and all that was left was the door swinging back and forth before his eyes.
His brain froze for a second before he shot to his feet. "Silas Thornton!"
Finn Shepherd leaned over the stairwell railing and looked down, only managing to see a dark figure rapidly descending.
He frowned, a coughing sound reaching his ears.
Glancing to the side, he saw a crumpled white figure in the center of the rooftop terrace.
The coughing was coming from that figure.
