"What?" Silas Thornton couldn't believe what he'd just heard. "Me? Take off my clothes?" he repeated, his face full of disbelief.
Holly Wyatt paused. Meeting Silas Thornton's somewhat bashful gaze, she realized she'd misspoken, and a blush crept up to the tips of her ears.
She quickly raised her hands and gestured to explain. "I mean, I need to take your measurements now. It'll be more accurate if you take your clothes off."
After gesturing, Holly Wyatt immediately pulled a soft tape measure from her pocket. As if desperate to prove her innocent intentions, she pulled the tape taut and held it up to Silas Thornton's chest.
Her cool fingertips accidentally brushed across Silas Thornton's chest. A shiver ran through him, his back went rigid, and he took half a step back.
