The chatter died down, and everyone looked at Nathan Fletcher inquisitively.
Nathan Fletcher clenched his jaw, his eyes darkening as he stared at the few people who had just been gossiping. His fists were clenched tight.
"Nathan!" Mr. Fletcher looked up at him, repeatedly signaling with his eyes for him to sit down.
Nathan Fletcher took a deep breath and apologized to the crowd. "Sorry for the disturbance."
Then he sat down, his expression back to normal.
Holly Wyatt didn't know what the people around them had said, so naturally, she didn't know why Nathan Fletcher had suddenly gotten angry.
'This brother of mine is so moody,' she thought. 'He always looks at me with such a complicated expression—a mix of disgust and pity. He's not a normal person, and he'll be even worse two years from now.'
Holly Wyatt paid him no mind, not even glancing at the key in the gift box. "Are you finished? Can I go now?"
