Silas Thornton stood nervously before the door, raising his hand to knock politely.
The moment he finished, he immediately lowered his hand, straightened his clothes, and stared at the door with a solemn expression, bracing himself.
Holly Wyatt shot him a strange glance but said nothing.
After a moment's wait, no one came to open the door. Silas Thornton raised his hand to knock again.
Before his hand could fall, Holly pushed him aside.
JINGLE JINGLE JINGLE. A set of keys chimed. Silas glanced at the gaudy keychain in Holly's hand, and his expression faltered for a second.
'Ah... how could I be so stupid? This is the cub's home, too... The home she grew up in. Of course she has a key. Doesn't that make my knocking just now seem really dumb?'
'Argh!!! Why didn't the cub remind me!! Ahhh!! This is so embarrassing it could kill a wolf!!!'
Holly lowered her head, her shoulders shaking with suppressed laughter as she turned the key.
