Chloe Fairchild immediately handed over her phone. "Annelise, something's happened to Zane. Look."
Annelise Valentine took the phone—on the screen was a blurry surveillance video.
The footage showed Zane Patterson driving out of an underground garage around 8 p.m. On the road, a van collided with him head-on. He got out to check on the situation, but four burly men immediately rushed out of the van and covered his mouth and nose with a cloth. He struggled for a moment before being dragged into the van. The video cut off as the vehicle drove into an area without surveillance cameras.
Annelise cried, "Quick, notify Mr. and Mrs. Patterson!"
Chloe said, "I already did. They're on their way back from Vesperia."
Sean Conrad asked, "This wasn't the Quinn family's doing, was it?"
