"My phone and wallet were both in my purse. You couldn't get through when you called, and I figure the thief must have turned my phone off. I would never just ignore your calls."
Georgia Thorne was afraid Elliot Sheridan would misunderstand, so she made sure to explain everything clearly, even adding that last sentence for emphasis.
Elliot Sheridan hummed in acknowledgment. "You can use my other phone for now."
