Hearing Assistant Sutton's instructions, the young assistant glanced at the coffee in her hands. She immediately turned and walked toward the CEO's office.
Standing outside the office doors, she composed herself and knocked three times: KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK. Only when a voice called out from within did she open the door and step inside.
Julian Winslow was buried in his paperwork. His well-defined hands gripped a fountain pen, signing documents one by one. Next to him, a few selected files had been set aside.
"Jonah, redo these documents," Julian said. Without even looking up, he picked up the set-aside files and tossed them forward.
The young assistant had never seen this side of Julian before. Her legs trembled in fright, nearly spilling the coffee. Terrified into silence for a moment, she finally squeaked out, "Mr. Winslow, should I call Assistant Sutton in?"
