Shalma Hughes was slightly taken aback. Ever since Dowager Winslow's visit had ended on a sour note, it seemed they had lost all contact with the people in Eldoria. Wealthy and prominent families were inherently complicated, and feeling that it was better to avoid trouble, she had never brought up the idea of visiting his parents.
Shalma placed the book in her hand back on the table, looked up at Julian Winslow, and asked, "What are we going there for?"
"I was quite busy during the New Year, so I didn't take you back to the old residence. We have to go back at least once a year." Julian said this with an indifferent gaze, showing not the slightest hint of any other emotion.
Shalma knew that Dowager Winslow was unwilling to accept her, but she was his mother after all. As a junior, it was her duty to visit; it was the proper thing to do.
