The phone screen displayed several text messages—all sent by her.
At that moment, Jonah Sutton happened to walk in with a document. Approaching the desk, she said respectfully, "Mr. Winslow, here is the report from Stellario. Please take a look."
Julian Winslow didn't look up; he merely gave a faint acknowledgment.
Jonah set the file down. She was just about to turn around when Julian suddenly called out to stop her.
"Assistant Sutton, if your husband went out of town on a business trip, and you sent him a text message but he didn't reply, would you be angry?"
The sudden question left Jonah stunned. She looked at her boss with a highly complex expression. Her boss had always been exceptionally aloof. Despite his gentle and modest facade, he never truly regarded anyone with much importance—let alone cared about whether someone was angry or not.
Yet, he had just asked exactly that.
With a quick leap of logic, Jonah knew it had to be about the CEO's wife.
