The Withered Messengers continued to act as healers, using their life-linking abilities to drain and transfuse vitality. They did not approach the Giant Shield Guards to cast Rotting Wind and Fear.
For one, the damage from Rotting Wind was not enough to instantly break the shield wall, so there was little point in using it at the moment.
As for Fear, its passive effect was constantly active. However, the Withered Messengers could sense that no one in the Golden Corps showed the slightest trace of fear, meaning that even if the spell were actively cast, its effect would be negligible.
The Elemental Druids, meanwhile, began to exchange fire with the enemy's Holy Archers from under the cover of a Wind Element Shield.
