During the F1 Abu Dhabi season finale, surrounded by an ocean of red flags waving in the stands, Wu Shi was involved in a catastrophic collision. He was launched off the circuit, tragically losing his life.

When he woke up again, he found himself thrown back to the year 2007.

That year, ambitious Fernando Alonso officially joined McLaren, setting his sights straight on the WDC.

That year, Lewis Hamilton had just stepped onto the F1 stage, long before heading to Mercedes to forge his seven-title dynasty.

That year, Max Verstappen had just transitioned into the karting Mini-Max category, about to unleash a bloodbath on the racing calendar and make his mark.

That year… it felt as if nothing had even started yet, but at the same time, as if everything was already set in stone.

Standing trackside once again, all Wu Shi could recall was that devastating 80G impact from his past life, overwhelmed by an extreme, paralyzing fear of speed.

He thought he would never have the courage to sit inside a monocoque chassis again.

That was, until a voice rang out from behind him—

“Hey! You must be Wu Shi? How about we go for a race?” “What? Too scared? Are all Chinese people this insecure?”

Everyone in the pit garage spontaneously burst into applause. This launch reaction time, combined with Wu Shi's absurdly perfect starting maneuvers, virtually guaranteed him the advantage at Turn 1.

As expected, Latifi's race start reaction was slightly delayed. While not entirely slow, his successive acceleration and gear shifts were noticeably inferior to Wu Shi's.

Coupled with the existing one-car-length gap between them, any attempt Latifi made to attack entering Turn 1 remained extremely forced and unnatural.

Wu Shi had already secured his racing line early on. Latifi did not act recklessly, deciding to bide his time and make his move later in the race.

Suddenly, the sound of a collision echoed from behind. Several race cars smashed into one another like bumper cars, scattering shattered parts and debris all over the track.

The race stewards barely hesitated, immediately deploying yellow flags in the accident sector.
