"When did Lafite start selling a box set?"
Wang Han drank quite a bit of Lafite and Penfolds on a regular basis.
Occasionally, he would even splurge on a bottle of Romanée-Conti.
But Wang Han had never seen a gift set like this before.
Just by looking at it, he knew it had to be expensive.
"This is a limited-edition collector's set that Lafite released in 2018. It features ten of their most outstanding vintages since 1986, including three perfect-score years—1986, 1996, and 2003. Only 88 sets were released, and I remember them going for 240,000 at auction."
Fu Songyang chimed in, answering the question for Qi Sheng.
"Ah Sheng, you really went all out! Let me see what a perfect-score Lafite is all about!"
Despite his words, Wang Han's hands moved quickly, picking out the three bottles of the perfect-score vintages.
"As long as you can finish it, there's plenty more at home."
Qi Sheng hadn't bought too many—just 40 sets, which he'd tossed in his wine cellar.
