Upon returning to the laboratory he knew best, Lloyd was surprised to find it had become a three-story building, bustling with so many people it looked several times more popular than the Twisted System department.
Yet his two acquaintances not far away, Professor Lawrence and the researcher Dandy, both wore looks of utter astonishment. Their eyes were wide open. 'They don't seem very happy to see me back, do they?'
Lloyd could only offer a slightly awkward smile, waving at them in greeting.
"Uh… hi?"
But the two acquaintances merely muttered to themselves under their breath:
"He's not human. He's not human. So I can understand, I can accept it. I'm just surprised…"
"He just got lucky. Mm… right, just lucky. That's how he made it back alive."
