Seraphina Quinn felt a headache coming on.
She reached out, pulled Claire Sterling out of her way, and then climbed into the car.
Claire Sterling refused to give up. She grabbed Seraphina's arm, stopping her from leaving.
"Seraphina Quinn, have you no shame? You'll make up any lie just to ruin my marriage prospects. Get out of the car and come with me. Let's see what you have to say in front of Grandma and Grandpa..."
Claire happened to squeeze the spot where Seraphina had been bitten, and Seraphina's brows furrowed in pain.
Seraphina was thoroughly annoyed with Claire. Her gaze shifted to Cian, who was emerging from the shadows.
"Willis York, are you coming with me, or are you staying here to continue your matchmaking session?"
Regardless of her relationship with Claire, Seraphina couldn't let Cian stir up trouble in the Sterling family home.
That was why she ignored Claire's feelings and spoke to Cian so directly.
And for that very reason, Claire hated her with a passion.
