Chen Xiao swaggered into her office.
The door was open. It was obvious she had left it unlocked for him.
He casually closed the door behind him, and the atmosphere in the small office instantly grew tense.
Lin Ya stood up and called out shyly, "Boss!"
There was nowhere to sit besides a few small, round stools, so they had to make do.
"Your setup here is way too basic! This little round table is fine for playing cards, but it's not exactly suitable for hosting guests."
'Playing cards?' Lin Ya was both shocked and embarrassed. 'This boss of hers never holds anything back when he speaks!'
She walked over and placed a glass of lemon water in front of Chen Xiao. "Boss, I don't usually drink tea, so I don't have any on hand. I'll prepare some good tea to host you next time!"
"Don't bother. I'll give you some when I get the chance. I have more tea than I can drink."
