"Sir, Mark is here!"
Upon hearing this, Su Chen put down his book and looked toward the main entrance. He saw Mark watching him, his eyes a mixture of excitement and nervousness.
He smiled and beckoned to him, sitting up from the sofa.
"Don't just stand there, come over and sit!"
Mark quickly walked over, bowed respectfully, and said, "Good afternoon, Mr. Su!"
"Hey, no need to be so formal. We're friends, after all, right?" While Su Chen said this, he was quite pleased with Mark's deferential attitude.
Once Mark was seated, Su Chen didn't waste any time. He gestured for Jiang Hui to bring over the laptop.
"Let's settle the accounts before we chat. Otherwise, I'm afraid you won't be in the mood to talk," Su Chen said teasingly.
Mark's eyes widened at his words. 'That's exactly what I was thinking,' he thought, but he knew he couldn't appear too eager. He had to play it cool.
"Mr. Su, there's no rush. We have plenty of time today."
