Zong Xinyao nodded firmly. "I understand, Boss!"
'She finally understood. Her boss wasn't interested in such paltry sums.'
"Hmm," Su Chen said, putting down the file in his hands. A hint of a smile played on his lips as he teased, "The work report is finished. If there's nothing else, I'm heading out!"
With that, Su Chen made to stand up.
Seeing Su Chen was actually about to leave, she quickly called out, "Boss, wait!"
"What is it? Is there something else?" Su Chen asked, feigning confusion. 'He'd already guessed what Zong Xinyao wanted to talk to him about. It had to be about holding an annual party for Vast Sea Group.'
'Otherwise, she wouldn't have mentioned being turned down for Yunmengze's annual party in Shanghai. This whole "rejection" was likely something she and Pei Rang had cooked up to get him to agree.'
'After all, Vast Sea Group had only been around for a month or two. It was too soon, and an annual party wasn't really necessary.'
