This would cover the basics of what Magic Power and Elements are.
Why "the basics"? Because the definitions learned during their apprenticeship would be refuted in their studies after advancing to Mage.
The simplified definitions from this introductory period are all very limited.
Everything is a compromise designed to make entry easier and to blend education with entertainment.
These are the teaching methods adopted by the vast majority of Mage Schools today, methods proposed by the magical educator Lori.
And they have indeed lowered the barrier to entry for apprentices significantly, greatly increasing teaching efficiency.
