Mavis Lennon's voice was a little hoarse from the pain. "Yesterday, my family received an invitation and an elixir from The Myriad Pill Tower. The Great Elder identified it as an Upper Grade elixir. I figured that whoever could refine such a thing must have incredible medical skills, so I came here with my husband today."
'No wonder.' Ronan raised an eyebrow, his gaze flicking over to the Great Elder. The elder, however, sat there calmly, allowing Ronan to watch him.
"Mavis!"
A deep, urgent male voice called out, growing closer. The crowd instinctively parted to let him through. The man strode quickly to Mavis Lennon's side, his eyes scanning her with worry.
"Are you feeling unwell?"
"Shaun, I'm fine." Mavis Lennon reached out, took the man's hand, and answered softly.
'I snuck over while he was in the restroom without saying a word. He must be worried sick.'
