Blue skies and white clouds stretched over a vast riding track, stirring an impulse in anyone who saw it to gallop freely across its expanse.
Only a few people were scattered across the enormous track; some were still in the designated rest area, chatting and relaxing.
"Bro, do you think Seraphina isn't coming?" Eleanor Vaughn couldn't sit still any longer and stood up, her eyes darting around every so often.
She had heard from her brother about the recent attempt on Seraphina's life. 'That woman, Alice, is just despicable. If I had been there, I would've given her a serious beatdown.'
Felix Vaughn, seated on the lounge sofa, watched his sister pace restlessly before him. A resigned smile touched his lips. "Since Seraphina promised you she'd come, she will. Just sit down and wait. You're making my head spin."
"Yeah, Eleanor, if you keep pacing, you're gonna make me dizzy," Jacks added, lounging carelessly on the sofa with his eyes half-closed.
