Yves Reginald couldn't bear to make her worry, so he forced a smile. "I'm fine!"
Yvonne Wallace carefully helped him back to the bed. "You should get some sleep. I'll be fine on my own, and I'll be back soon."
"No, I'm fine," Yves Reginald said, shaking his head.
"No way. You have to listen to me, or I'll get mad," Yvonne Wallace said, putting on a stern face and lowering her voice.
Seeing he couldn't change her mind, Yves Reginald had no choice but to stay in the cabin and let her go out alone.
The moment she left, the color drained from Yves Reginald's face. He clutched his head and collapsed onto the bed. In truth, his head had been throbbing with waves of pain since he'd woken up that morning. The feeling was so agonizing it made him want to slam his head against a wall. He had only been enduring it because Yvonne was there, and he didn't want to make her worry.
A few moments later, the pain overwhelmed him, and Yves Reginald fainted.
