"A birthday present?" Rosalind suddenly remembered that her son's birthday was just a few days ago. She'd even mentioned it to Seraphina.
"Mm."
"Dinner is ready!" Susan Lindsey announced, checking the time and calling everyone to the table.
"Miss Ashworth, you don't mind us freeloading a meal, do you?" Rosalind asked humorously, standing up and taking the older woman's arm.
Miss Ashworth didn't know whether to laugh or cry. "You silly girl, still being so polite with me. You could eat here every day if you wanted."
Rosalind chuckled, a smile on her lips, and helped Miss Ashworth toward the dining room.
After dinner, Rosalind promptly whisked Seraphina away. Sylvia Blaine couldn't join them, as she had urgent business at her company.
"Seraphina, let's go to The Ninth Heaven Mansion. I haven't really been back these past few years, and I hear it's a lot of fun," Rosalind suggested, pulling Seraphina into the back seat with her.
