The crisp, loud sound still lingered in the air. A dozen or so figures surged out from behind Caden Reginald in every direction with the speed of a thunderclap, their expressions grim and murderous. In a mere instant, everyone in the living room had been taken care of.
From the very beginning, this battle was a one-sided slaughter, an overwhelming victory.
"Caden!" Seraphina Ashworth said as she walked in slowly, coming to Caden Reginald's side.
"Is it done?" Caden Reginald asked softly, raising an eyebrow.
Seraphina Ashworth turned to look at the man beside her and smiled, her lips curling. "Yes, but there's still a little something left to do."
"Master, we found this person in a room, along with several corpses!" Lochlan Knight said, striding quickly toward Caden Reginald. He was dragging an old man in a black robe.
"Ouch!"
