"Master, Lady of the House, I'll wait for you here!" Lochlan Knight said respectfully after driving Caden Reginald and Seraphina Ashworth to the bustling center of Aethelburg's most luxurious international shopping mall.
'To be honest,' he thought, 'it's a little strange seeing my master and the lady of the house in these prosthetic masks. They look so ordinary. The masks make them look average at best, but if you look closely, there's no hiding the brilliant, profound light in their eyes.'
'Then again,' he mused, 'if my master and the lady of the house went shopping with their real faces, they'd be stared at everywhere they went. It would be too much of a hassle.'
"Mm," Caden Reginald responded quietly, a flicker of satisfaction in his dark eyes.
Lochlan Knight didn't miss that glimmer of satisfaction. The corner of his mouth twitched. 'Oh, come on, Master. Even if you didn't say anything, I was going to make myself scarce, okay? I know better than to be a third wheel.'
