Wu Ting's family held their housewarming banquet at their community's banquet center, a product of Fan City's "Beautiful Countryside" initiative.
According to tradition in Fan City, major life events like weddings, housewarmings, and academic achievements were celebrated with a lively banquet. However, with economic development and rising living standards, the old way of setting up temporary sheds and stoves for open-air dining could no longer meet the public's demand for hygiene and quality.
Under a major government initiative, Wu Ting's family's old village was demolished and redeveloped. A banquet center was built in the heart of the new community, and the one in Wu Ting's neighborhood was particularly famous for its high standards.
Beneath a blue sky and white clouds, nestled among crisscrossing fields, the banquet center stood tall. Its design, featuring a pavilion shaped like two figures holding hands, showcased the center's "people-oriented" philosophy.
