When the director first started assigning groups, Morgan Vaughn wanted to be teamed up with Claire Sherwood. Because he knew that Claire hated Iris Dalton just as much as he did, he figured if the two of them joined forces to set up Iris, they could definitely do it flawlessly.
But to make a name for himself on the show, he first had to perform exceptionally well and get the audience to like him.
