Sophie returned to the camp and saw Justin Nash sitting by the bonfire, adding firewood to the flames.
She quietly sat down by the fire. "Mr. Nash, you're still up this late?"
Justin looked up at her, his features soft, carrying a gentle, faint smile. "Are you alright?"
He had seen Sophie leave the camp to talk to Tristan Sherwood on the beach. He had also heard her loudly reject Tristan, even claiming she already had a boyfriend. Justin's eyes flickered. The smile on his face remained unchanged, perfectly concealing his inner emotions.
Sophie's gaze was aloof and somewhat distracted. She pursed her lips and shook her head. "I'm fine. I'm doing okay." She paused before adding softly, "I really appreciate you looking out for me lately."
Justin Nash was Iris Dalton's senior martial brother. Because of this connection, she had benefited quite a bit and received no small amount of help.
