It was Brandon Sterling, whom she hadn't seen in years.
Their eyes met.
Holly Sinclair frowned.
Brandon Sterling stood up and walked over.
"Hol...ly?"
Brandon Sterling scrutinized her from head to toe, his expression a complex mix of hesitation, surprise, and disbelief.
"Brandon," Holly Sinclair acknowledged with a graceful nod.
She didn't deny her identity, nor did she pretend to have amnesia.
Three years ago, everyone thought she was dead.
So in Brandon Sterling's eyes, she should have been a dead person. It was only natural for him to be shocked upon suddenly seeing her.
"It really is you! You're not d— you're okay?"
Brandon Sterling's eyes filled with joy. He had almost said "dead," but thinking the word was unlucky, he quickly corrected himself.
"Yes, I'm not dead." Holly Sinclair's expression was calm; she didn't seem to mind.
"That's wonderful, just wonderful." Brandon Sterling was very emotional, his eyes even shimmering with unshed tears.
