Megan Kane had been living a very peaceful life recently, without any major setbacks. She thought it would continue that way, but something happened that was completely beyond her expectations.
"Is what you're saying really true? I haven't heard anything. Is it possible we wouldn't get the news at the same time?"
Megan Kane frowned slightly, still finding it hard to believe what the man before her was saying. After all, she had just spoken with her best friend on the phone a short while ago.
'How could something so unexpected have happened?'
It was simply beyond comprehension.
"Whether you believe it or not, it happened. We have to figure out a way to deal with this. Avoiding it won't solve the problem."
"And the most important thing right now is figuring out how to handle this, though it's hard to see a clear path forward at the moment."
