Jason Forrester knew the person outside was eavesdropping; he just hadn't expected to catch them red-handed.
But he didn't say anything to interrupt them, a faint smile playing on his lips.
'It's not a big deal if they want to listen in,' he thought. 'Let them listen. Besides, there's nothing about this situation that can't be overheard.'
In any case, there really wasn't any good way to resolve the current matter.
'We'll just have to see how this all gets sorted out. As long as it doesn't drag on any longer.'
Zion Thornton didn't linger in the hospital room. He turned and left, since there was really nothing left for the two of them to say to each other.
If they had kept talking, it would have only led to more arguing, and neither of them could win the other over.
Besides, neither wanted to deal with the other. They were both stubborn, each believing they had done nothing wrong.
"So they're just done arguing like that? And that's it? It's just over, so bizarrely?"
