"If you really have something important to do, or if you're busy, just go. You don't need to look after me. I'm a grown woman, you know. It's not like I can't even take care of myself, is it?"
"I think you just overthink things sometimes. Really, you don't need to worry about me so much!"
Megan Kane spoke in a calm, unhurried tone. The man before her was clearly overthinking things, and she didn't need him to dote on her.
