Otherwise, her heart would keep pounding with anxiety. She had a bad feeling that trouble was brewing.
Megan Kane felt a splitting headache coming on. She had no idea where to even start looking, but first, she had to deal with the company matters at hand. Otherwise, she wouldn't be in any state of mind to go searching for anyone.
"Sort all the documents by type for now. If I have to leave, I'll deal with them when I get back. That's all."
But Megan Kane wasn't in the mood to stay at the company either. She rushed out. The most important thing now was to find him as quickly as possible.
It was like looking for a needle in a haystack. She had no clue where to even begin.
"How could someone just run off at a time like this? It's baffling. Doesn't he ever think about anyone else, or how stressful this situation is?"
