The top few floors of the Heaven-Reaching Tower were instantly thrown into chaos. Endless thunder coursed through the ground, and lightning bolts occasionally rained down from the ceilings. Over a dozen Martial Artists had already been struck, their bodies charred black.
Fortunately, while the thunder was powerful, its strength was diminished by having to travel through multiple floors. Since they were all Extraordinary Martial Artists, their lives were not in danger. Still, the feeling of being struck by lightning right after emerging from seclusion was incredibly aggravating.
Some Martial Artists had just achieved a breakthrough and were filled with joy, only for a sudden lightning strike to obliterate their elation. Others had failed their breakthrough and were already wallowing in gloom; the sudden lightning was simply adding insult to injury, pushing their resentment to the absolute limit.
"AHHH! Which bastard is responsible for this?!"
