"Go back to the villa."
The moment Evelyn Grant answered, Ryan Sterling's palpable anger seemed to radiate right through the receiver.
Just those four words carried an oppressive weight that was impossible to ignore.
She froze, her eyes instinctively darting toward Julian Sterling, who was once again walking toward her. Her nerves went taut, and she said quickly, "We'll talk later!"
She hurriedly hung up just as Julian Sterling reached her.
"Hanging up the moment you see me? Feeling guilty?" A man's intuition can be scarily accurate sometimes. "Was that a call from the bum you're fooling around with?"
Evelyn Grant ignored him. Just then, a waiter brought over the bill.
Julian Sterling beat her to it, taking the bill and handing over his card. "Put it on this."
"Don't use his card!"
Evelyn Grant tried to stop him.
But she wasn't tall enough and couldn't snatch it back in time.
Her delicate brows knitted together as she turned and walked straight out.
