Yelias immediately straightened his posture. "I later discovered that by using my grandfather's identity to get close to you, I could get a more objective look at how you felt about me."
"Besides, you're surrounded by so many exceptional men. I didn't have much of a competitive edge, so I used my grandfather's identity to try and persuade you to be with me."
Bai Su let out a laugh of pure exasperation. Just thinking about how she'd been played for a fool still made her seethe with anger.
Yelias looked at Bai Su earnestly. "Susu, I'm sorry. I know I was wrong, and I'll never deceive you like this again. I apologize, and I'm willing to accept any punishment. Can you forgive me?"
Bai Su said, "There won't be a next time. If I ever catch you lying to me again, I'll punch a hole right through your stomach."
Yelias nodded obediently. "So, you're not mad at me anymore?"
Bai Su replied, "I'm fine. The anger has passed."
