When Bai Su's Clone awoke again, she could only faintly see the glow of a fire in the distance. The surface beneath her was chilly, like she was lying on a hard stone slab.
The air was filled with the smell of earth, punctuated by the occasional chirping of insects and birds.
She slowly opened her eyes and saw a fluffy tail swaying leisurely beside her.
It was Lu Tingyan's tail.
She instinctively reached out and stroked it. "Lu Tingyan..."
He suddenly bristled, violently slapping her hand away. "You..."
A stinging pain flared across the back of Bai Su's hand, and only then did she belatedly recall what had happened during the day.
Lu Tingyan had lost his memory.
And he'd knocked her out.
She sat up and saw Lu Tingyan, who had just shot away from her, his face beet red.
They seemed to be in a cave. A fire was crackling nearby, roasting a few wild rabbits.
Lu Tingyan frowned. "How rude."
Bai Su was speechless.
