Qin Shen told Jiang Si to stand back, then brought the hard axe down heavily on the barrier.
The barrier rippled like water, flinging him against the wall. The axe itself cracked, a testament to just how powerful the barrier was.
Jiang Si was overjoyed. She retracted the barrier with a thought and hurried over to check on Qin Shen.
"Are you okay?"
Qin Shen shook his head. "I'm fine."
Jiang Si breathed a sigh of relief. She and Qin Shen left the room, where Jiang Linhai, seeing she was awake, rushed over to look her up and down. "How are you? Do you still feel sick?"
Jiang Si shook her head. Jiang Linhai immediately called out to Shen Baoying, "Honey, our daughter's awake!"
Hearing this, the others hurried over as well.
Everyone smiled when they saw Jiang Si was awake. Shen Baoying asked her a few questions, then quickly said, "I'll go make some food. I'll make your favorite seafood congee."
And Jiang Si was, in fact, hungry.
