Chapter 19 - episode 20

The battle shook the entire kingdom.

Leo attacked the First Dragon with everything he had.

Fire collided with magic.

The sky flashed gold and blue.

The dragon struck Leo.

He fell from the sky.

BOOM!

He crashed into the ground.

"King Leo!"

Elena screamed.

Leo slowly stood.

Blood ran down his face.

He looked at the dragon.

"You're stronger than I expected."

The dragon laughed.

"You cannot defeat me."

Leo smiled.

"I don't have to."

He looked toward the palace.

Samuel understood immediately.

"The Crown!"

Leo nodded.

The ancient crown was still hidden beneath the palace.

Samuel ran.

He entered the secret chamber.

There, the Crown of the Future began glowing.

Samuel placed both hands on it.

"Wake."

The crown rose.

Golden light spread through the palace.

Outside, Leo felt the energy.

The First Dragon suddenly stepped backward.

"No."

Leo smiled.

"You remember this power."

The crown appeared above him.

The dragon roared.

"Destroy it!"

The smaller dragons attacked.

But the people of Chingy City stood together.

Soldiers.

Farmers.

Merchants.

Parents.

Children.

They formed a wall around their king.

Leo looked at them.

Then he understood.

The crown had never belonged to him.

It belonged to everyone.

The Crown of the Future floated above Leo.

Then something extraordinary happened.

It broke.

The golden crown shattered into thousands of pieces of light.

Everyone stared.

The First Dragon looked shocked.

"What have you done?"

Leo answered:

"I freed the future."

The pieces of light flew across the kingdom.

One entered the hands of a farmer.

Another entered the hands of a child.

Another entered the palace.

Another flew toward distant kingdoms.

The First Dragon slowly began disappearing.

"You have destroyed the crown."

"No."

Leo looked at the people.

"We have shared it."

The dragon stared at him.

For the first time in a thousand years, it smiled.

"You finally understand."

Leo lowered his sword.

"Understand what?"

"The future was never meant to belong to one king."

The dragon's body turned into golden light.

"It belongs to everyone."

Then it disappeared.

The smaller dragons vanished with it.

The sky returned to normal.

Silence filled Chingy City.

Then someone began clapping.

Another person joined.

Soon the entire kingdom erupted in celebration.

Leo looked toward the horizon.

He thought about his father.

And he finally understood his final lesson.

King Austin had not built a perfect kingdom.

He had built a kingdom capable of building its own future.

Leo smiled.

"We did it, Father."

A gentle wind passed through the city.

For a moment, Leo thought he heard Austin's voice.

"No, my son."

Leo closed his eyes.

"They did."

He opened them.

The sun was rising.

And for the first time, there was no crown above the throne.

There was no ruler chosen by magic.

There was only a king who had chosen to trust his people.

And that became the greatest story Chingy City had ever known.

Years later, when King Leo grew old, he refused to choose an heir.

Instead, he created a council made up of ordinary citizens.

Farmers.

Teachers.

Warriors.

Doctors.

Builders.

Mothers.

Fathers.

Everyone had a voice.

When someone asked him why, he gave the same answer every time.

"Because my father taught me that the future belongs to those who build it."

And whenever children asked about the Crown of the Future, their teachers told them:

"It disappeared."

The children always asked:

"Where did it go?"

The teachers smiled.

"It became something greater."

"What?"

"Choice."

And so the kingdoms continued.

Not because a magical crown protected them.

Not because a dragon watched over them.

But because generation after generation chose peace over revenge, courage over fear, and unity over power.

The final statue built in Chingy City was not a statue of King Austin.

It was not a statue of King Leo.

It was a statue of an ordinary family holding hands.

At its base were the words:

"THE FUTURE BELONGS TO ALL OF US."

And beneath those words was one final sentence:

"THE END IS NOT THE END. IT IS THE BEGINNING OF WHAT WE CHOOSE TO BUILD.
