I don't feel like writing. Don't get me wrong, a normal writer would have 20-25 works under their name. I could easily surpass them with my plagiarizing ability. But nowadays I don't feel like writing anything.
Maybe the feeling of not wanting more has something to do with it? I know I would be rich with *Grave of the Fireflies* and the *Guide to Murder* series. I would not need to work anymore. With this kind of money, I could live my life without working.
Evans would be disappointed, but he can't dictate my life.I try to stop for now and let myself be happy and not into too much work.
But there was a problem.
I wanted to deal with *Grave of the Fireflies* as soon as possible, but the agreement didn't meet our conditions, so the deal was in limbo.
They wanted to outright buy the rights to the book, including its adaptation. But we wanted a situation where it is licensed. That way, we will get more money and keep ourselves on the radar of other studios who would want to collaborate with me.
There are only 2 months left for 2021 to end. In this whole time, I finished the 4th book of my series, which was a prequel. I know why I took so much time. Well, I wouldn't want people to think I am a novel vending machine. I had to show them I had researched the things in the novel and stuff, or it would be very suspicious.
Well, only I know that I have finished the last 3 books. My parents are probably thinking I am still writing the 2nd book of the series.
Not only did I finish the series, I also did a lot of book-signing events, but all of them were outside Florida.
Since in those events phone recording and taking pictures were not allowed, no one knew how I looked.
"Eh! Writers are not evaluated by their looks, so I am fine," I said to myself.
Life was going great but then...
"Um... Michael..." Evans murmured in a call.
"Sup?" I asked him.
"Mr. Hayao Miyazaki wants to meet you. He is asking if you can come to Japan," Evans said.
"What? Why would the director of an animation firm want to meet a small writer?" I exclaimed.
"I don't know. But I think you should go. I will get your tickets and hotels, don't worry."
"Duh! Who wouldn't want to meet Japanese gir—I mean Mr. Hayao Miyazaki?" I said.
"Uhuh," Evans said with a sly smile which I could see but feel.
"Let me talk to my parents; you book the tickets, you will also come," I said, clearly overlooking this guy's behavior.
"Okie bye!" Said Evans.
"Tsk," I said, looking at the phone.

"So you are going to Japan?" Janet asked, clearly surprised.
"Yes, I need to talk to them about the adaptation," Michael said.
"Haha! Good for my son!" said Terry.
"Thanks!" Michael said shyly.
"Just be careful, sweetheart," Janet said.
"Don't worry, Mom, Evans will come with me," Michael said.
"That's why I am saying he carefully," said Janet.
